It’s the Oscar dress everyone was waiting for. On Sunday, Natalie Portman stepped out onto the 83nd Annual Academy Awards red carpet in a rich aubergine, off-the-shoulder gown by design darlings Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte.
While Dior was a long-rumored option, Portman’s Rodarte makes sense — they helped design her Black Swan tutus, after all — but we can’t help but feel a bit bored by the look. Stunning, sure. Exciting? Not so much. What do you think?
