We did quite a few double takes at last night’s Golden Globes . This thing looks like that thing! That thing looks like this thing!
Since awards shows are all about competition, allow us to pit some of Hollywood’s heaviest hitters against one another in a rousing game of Who Did It Better?

1. Evan Rachel Wood v. Madonna
Green dresses with ombre texture? We would have never thought we would love the concept so much. Evan Rachel Wood 's dress is probably our favorite of the night, with all of its sequins and feathers and general gorgeousness. Madonna 's dress doesn't even hold a candle to it, though we like the little sleeves. (The single leather glove, however, just doesn't work.) WINNER: Evan Rachel Wood
2. Angelina Jolie v. Natalie Portman
Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman followed the same exact formula last night: draped gowns with red foldover flaps, coordinating red bags, and red-hot dates in bow ties. We don't love either look, though we do love both of their outrageously attractive baby daddies. Hmmmm. WINNER: Draw
3. Sarah Michelle Gellar v. Sharon Osbourne
Prints were virtually nowhere to be found on this red carpet! Alas, Sarah Michelle Gellar upped the risk factor in a blue and white tie-dyed number, while Sharon Osbourne went floral. The shape of the skirts are remarkably similar — and we love sleeves — but SMG truly stole our hearts last night. WINNER: Sarah Michelle Gellar
4. Michelle Williams v. Charlize Theron
Both Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron ended up on our best dressed list , but not all headbands are created equal. Theron looked regal with a sparkly hair accessory accenting her romantic 'do. Williams looked like she was heading to yoga. WINNER: Charlize Theron
5. Morena Baccarin v. Rooney Mara
There are a couple ways to wear a black dress cut down-to-there. You can either look like a stripper (sup, Morena Baccarin ), or you can look classy as all hell (hey there, Rooney Mara ). WINNER: Rooney Mara
6. Claire Danes v. Kate Winslet
Colorblocking wasn't an overwhelming trend of the night , but Claire Danes and Kate Winslet managed to do the black and white thing in same-but-opposite ways. Danes was edgy with black on bottom and white on top, while Winslet was safe with white on bottom and black on top. Also, the neckline works better without a keyhole! WINNER: Claire Danes
